What is GoHighLevel?

GoHighLevel, now usually called HighLevel, is a US platform that combines a CRM, sales pipelines, calendars and online booking, a shared inbox for texts, emails and social messages, forms, websites and funnels, reviews, and automation workflows in one place. It also includes AI features such as voice and chat agents.

For a service business, the appeal is replacing several separate tools with one system where every lead and conversation lives.

We are an independent New Zealand business. We are not HighLevel and don’t speak for them.

What does it cost in NZ dollars?

HighLevel publishes its prices in US dollars. At the time of writing in October 2026, its plans start at US$97 a month, with higher tiers at US$297 and US$497. Usage, such as texts, calls, email and AI features, is charged on top. Check HighLevel’s pricing page for current figures.

Because it is billed in US dollars, the NZD cost moves with the exchange rate. Budget for setup and support separately from the subscription.

Does texting work from NZ numbers?

This is the most important thing to check. HighLevel’s built-in phone and texting service has limits for New Zealand numbers, and the details change. Many NZ businesses connect a local NZ SMS gateway so that texts send from a recognisable number and are delivered reliably to all major NZ networks.

We don’t promise native HighLevel texting in New Zealand. We test delivery on a real number before go-live.

What about invoices?

HighLevel invoices from overseas, in US dollars. Talk to your accountant about how overseas digital services are treated for your business. If you buy HighLevel through an agency, the agency may invoice you in NZD.

What does a good NZ setup include?

  • A clean pipeline with stages that match how you actually work, from new lead to booked to paid
  • NZ formatting: dates, times, phone numbers and spelling set up for New Zealand
  • Calendars with real availability, buffers and service areas
  • A connected inbox for calls, texts, email, Facebook and Instagram
  • Consent fields for marketing, so you follow the NZ SMS rules
  • A few high-value automations first, not fifty half-finished ones. See workflows to automate first
  • Training so your team actually uses it

When is HighLevel the wrong choice?

  • If your industry software already does most of this well, such as a practice management system, adding HighLevel may duplicate work
  • If you only need one feature, such as online booking, a simpler tool may be cheaper
  • If nobody in the business will look after it, any CRM will decay

How long does setup take?

A focused setup for a single service business typically takes two to four weeks, including migration of existing contacts, calendars, the inbox, core automations and training. More complex businesses take longer.

FAQ

Quick answers

Ask us something else
Is GoHighLevel the same as HighLevel?

Yes. The company now mostly uses the name HighLevel, but many people still search for GoHighLevel or GHL.

Can I pay for HighLevel in NZ dollars?

HighLevel bills in US dollars. Your bank converts the charge, so the NZD amount moves with the exchange rate.

Does HighLevel work with Xero?

There are integrations and automation tools that connect HighLevel with Xero for things like contacts and invoices. What works depends on your setup, so test it before relying on it.

Do I need an agency to set it up?

No, but HighLevel has a lot of features and it is easy to end up with a messy account. Many businesses get it set up properly once, then run it themselves.
